Ang Aking Mga Kamaytungkulin

Sila'y may mga butihing puso
Na sa inyo sila'y nakikisuyo
Tanggapin sila nang buong-buo
Sa pagkikisalamuha'y mahusay manuyo
Itong mga kaibigan ko,
tatanggapin kang walang pagsiphayo

Lahat ay kayang gawin, anumang larangan, sila ay magaling
Umaawit ng papuri, anumang awitin nabibigyang buhay parin
Sa saliw ng panugtog kanilang pusoy umiindayog
Wari'y sumasayaw naparang inang kinukupkop -

Ipagkaloob pagpapala't biyaya Niya

- "Discipline is the product of respect. No respect ... no discipline. No respect sa batas, environment, other people's space, property and time.

    Mabubuti at makataong kaugalian

Sa pagkilos man at pananalita dili
    Maaalaman mo't mananawari

Magandang kinabukasan kanilang paglalaanan.
Ihahatid susunduin sa kanyang paaralan.
Hanggang sa makapagtapos sa kursong kanilang pinapagplanuhan.

Ang Manlilinang

Mula pagkasilang at mamulat ang isipan
Ako'y nakatadhana na yatang maging kasangkapan
Upang malinang ang tamang kaalaman
Nang isang makabagong kabataan

Kaalaman na kailangan ko ipunla
Sa mga makabagong araling panimula
Marapat pag-aralan at sanayin muna
Upang sa kabataa'y ituturo ay tama

Kabutihang asal ay lilinangin ko
Sa kabataan ngayo'y ipapahayag ng wasto
Sa pagtanda nila'y maging makatao
Para maging huwaran ng maraming bansa dito.

Blame

Everything seemed alright,
Everything was insight,
But it seems to get tight,
You seem to be out of sight.

It was all my fault, my dear,
The dramas you always hear,
The nights that your eyes tear,
It was everything that I fear.

Didn't mean to drop the plate,
Didn't mean change our fate.
Maybe I'm too late,
Too late catch your plate.

In a distance, I saw your smile,
It was bittersweet from a mile.
I haven't heard your voice for a while,
My eyes seems like the river Nile.

Forgive me if I have failed us
For I was stranded in my chaos.
I hope there will be no fuss
Between the two of us.

I'm delighted to see you're happy,
Though I'm not the reason for it, frankly,
It's good too see you're still witty,
Good to know you still have that beauty.

I'll be fine with my life, my love.
I'll seek inner peace and the white dove.

The Private House - Batangas 2018 (Part 1)

The Private House
August 25, 2018
Beach Resort in Calatagan Batangas

The following post was a "side-trip", i would say, courtesy of the leadership strat planning of the company i work for.

For the record, this article is for the sole purpose of my own opinion and not from the company.

I was able to squeeze in some shots (beautiful) of nature and the panoramic view of the this splendid resort.

Why only post now? I woke up today where the sea is seemingly trying to call me - was it because of the December Breeze (hanging Amihan)? I guess so, that's why the inspirational sparkle came to mind scrambling through my old photos and keep it afloat here in this blog, for the sake of  memories and appeasing the need for vitamin Sea. 😆

The Private House - is a glamorous architecture, standing on its own with the bluey-green seashore backdrop, atop the skies draping it like an endless panoramic view of the horizon.

While the view outside is definitely a plus, I'm also impressed by the lawn's oversized garden and the minimalist trimming and placement of trees, shrubs and grassy greens.

While my narrative is crisp and unflowery - I must say with magnified conviction that this is a goto place, not only for retreats but for family bondings, barkada trips and even romantic weekend getaways kind of stuff if you wanna be solo with your special someone.

Hit the link on their FB Page for the rates, room accommodations and buffet food trips.

The rabbit pic (hahaha!) is just a Bonus - it just so happened that i saw a local vendor walking with a cart while doing my jogs around the area.

Araw-Araw

Araw-Araw

Sa tuwing nasusulyapan kita'y
Hindi mapigilang maluha ng onti,
Sa tuwing nasusulyapan kita'y
Mga alaala ay nagbubunga ng dalamhati.

Dating mga ngiti ay wala na,
Parang bula na biglaang naglaho.
Dati'y lahat ay maayos pa,
Ngunit ngayo'y tuluyang gumuho.

Masakit isiping tapos na,
Mahirap tanggapin ang katotohanan,
Katotohanang masakit sa mata,
Ngunit ito ay tatanggapin na lamang.

Maaaring masaya ka na sa buhay mo.
Marahil nabawasan ang bigat na iyong dala.
Wala nang dilang mahilig magtago,
Wala na ang ugaling parang bata.

Nais ko lamang na ika'y lumigaya
Pero salungat ang aking naibigay,
Salungat sa ninanais magawa.
Paumanhin sa mga lumbay.

Araw-araw kong kinakaya,
Araw-araw ko rin sinusukuan.
Araw-araw pinipilit sumaya,
Araw-araw nalulunod sa kinalalagyan.

Hindi mawala sa aking isipan
Lahat ng kaligayahan natin,
Lahat ng pagsubok na ating nilagpasan,
Lahat ng pagkakataong ikaw ay akin.

Other-Sad

Other-Sad

"Siguro, may ka-chat siyang iba or may ka video-call".

"Sorry, wrong window"

"Talk 2 you soon, will explain. May pupuntahan kase ako. tc"

nagdaang parang kaybilis noong ako’y mayroong hinihintay

The Butterfly Effect

My love for you
... is like the science of surprises
... non-linear and unpredictable

For somehow
... it was i who left you
... and i chose to abandon

The infinite complexity
... goes on and on
... like the properties of nature

The clouds, rivers, trees,
... the butterfly
... flapping its wings somewhere in our town

Could soon grant the  power
... to cause a hurricane in Japan
... it may take time but it's all connected

For now,
... all we have to do is wait
... and see how chaos pans out

For when it subsides
... peace will have its place
... and my love for you

Is somehow,
... a scene
.. in the butterfly effect

ClayGo: Clean As You Go

I thought I would never be posting this because it may appear as a show-off of one of my positive attitudes.

But the gravity of my concern to other people's behavior toward the environment is increasingly becoming unacceptable.

I am with high hopes, that through this post, I can at least raise awareness about proper decorum in dealing with our wastes, even as simple as putting your empty plastic bag of Chips (chichirya) down to the right bin or as responsible as doing a ClayGo - clean as you go, whenever appropriate.

For the past few months, I have been practicing ClayGo - which for no reason at all (prolly an inner force inspiration?), I decided to do it whenever I can.

These are some probable causes that I may have considered subconsciously in doing so:

  • I felt the need to help the crew (say, I am dining in at McDonalds or Jollibee - I can see the labor of waiting tables and the countless hours of standing serving customers and cleaning up the mess left by diners. (By default, it was their job to do so, but ain't it wonderful to strive in helping them? And the sense of "pride" cleaning or putting the table in peace is just worth it"
  • As a courtesy to the next diner who will use your table. You may relate that at times, fast food chains are queuing also, and the crew are so busy that the next customer sat inplace to the unprepared/uncleaned table already. In that case, if you ClayGoed - you have extended the courtesy and politeness to your fellowman. It may be unseen and no gratitude was given - but i'm sure - it will come back to you ten folds.
In a bigger picture - I was browsing through my Twitter Feed earlier and found this viral image captured by a Wildlife Photographer - I need not explain further...

photo: screencapture from Twitter @dodo

It's quite saddening - that inappropriate throwing of waste can have a magnified impact even to the deepest of the sea - as innocent and as vulnerable as a seahorse.

So, humankind - let's unite and make waves to practice responsible dealing of our garbage. Instilling this to your immediate family and or if you have the power of influence to a group of people or team - please relay the message.

Hymns reverberating in the hallways,
Hallelujahs and exaltations!

is all that kept me going in my race.

Thank You, for your compassion and love.

Beautiful Art

Go ahead, put me to the tests; (with an s)
I have nothing but the firm grip, to hold on to your compassion

For when I bleed, I shall write beautiful art
and I’ll still call Your Name

And when the wounds have healed, I shall write beautiful art
and all the more I’ll call Thy Name

in heaven’s sake, afterall.

NBLAH: Nothing Breaks Like A Heart

And yeah, Miley!

I couldn’t get this off my head, ‘twas like i was bitten by the LSS bug, thanks to spotify for recommending this upbeat and instrumental-like song from the singer of Wrecking Ball. Hit the link below or listen to the hosting of the advertisers like Apple Music, Spotify or Amazon Music.

http://smarturl.it/NBLAH

And if you wanna enjoy the youTube snippet below, go ahead and hit the play button.

To add a bit of a review, this is a single of Mark Ronson featuring Miley Cyrus. Mark is a musician, DJ, songwriter and record producer with known collaborations to Amy Winehouse, Adele, Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars.

With this new disco song with Miley that he created, i guess they are kickstarting a trend similar to the beats of Jamiroquai back in the late 90’s. Nothing Breaks Like A Heart (NBLAH) is gut wrenching lyrics-wise and produces thoughts of heartaches and resilience. To give a taste, here’s how the intro goes:

This world can hurt you, it cuts you deep and leaves a scar
Things fall apart, but nothing breaks like a heart, nothing breaks like a heart.

And who can get to evade the sooper upbeat and engaging chorus:

This broken silence, my thunder crashing in the dark
Crash in the dark
And this broken record, spinning in circles
In the bars, spin 'round in the bars
This world can hurt you, it cuts you deep and leaves a scar
Things fall apart, but nothing breaks like a heart, ooh
Nothing breaks like a heart, nothing breaks like a heart

I leave to you your own prophecy, im quite sure this will become a hit reaching number 1 in the billboards.

It’s a Decemberly heartbeak influence, indeed!

Your thoughts, please?

December One

Taking showers in the early mornings are no longer easy
My peppermint breath gets the foggy illusion when i exhale through the mouth
And it forms a cloudy vapor vanishing instantly
Just like how you chose to leave, so early.

Mercy, I beg... back in November
But it was just in my dreams...
Hoping everytime to see your name
Flashing on my phone’s notifications
Knowing that you at least are thinking the moments
we were together, for you to remember to message me.
Yet i was just dismayed
But it was just inside...
I managed to still flash those smiles
and carry forward my tasks and journey.

It’s true - i thought of you randomly
But for the sake of concern and care
If you are doing fine and ably walking with integrity
Somehow, i wish to believe you are.

Top 5 Reasons Why You Should Get The Starbucks 2019 Organizer

(5-minute read)

It all started because of the fad in using the Starbucks Mobile App in my smartphone.

One of the directors in my IT circle of friends in Eastwood Quezon City suddenly started narrating why he chose to use the mobile app because it’s handy, phone-acts-as-a-wallet, the usual business magnetic cardtype is old-fashioned and adds bulk to a man’s wallet. Those were his thoughts - and I being the eager “I want to try also” later downloaded the app. It was August back then.

Fastforward, SB launched the yearly tradition of collecting stickers to avail either of the two:

a. 2019 Calendar Planner - Nah! Although this is a limited edition, I’d still prefer B. (But of course if you’re a hoarder and plans to get both or more, then by all means - go ahead).

b. 2019 Travel Organizer - I’m not really sure if this is the first time Starbucks offered this kind but no matter what, I have instantly had a sense of craving for it, and below are the top 5 reasons why you should get it too in exchange of your 18 stamped collected stickers.

  1. It’s Multi-Purpose - The case will serve as your enlarge pouch which can be used as a card/ID holders. You can have a clipper or sling for a pen. Sneak in some paper moneys or important notes, and don’t forget that you can still write on it because it came with a slim notebook.  There’s more! If you wanted to follow suit on how it was advertised - please do so by using it as a phone case, wired headset organizer or simply a wallet.
  2. It’s Adorbs - (trivia: “Adorbs” was officially added as a word in Merriam-Webster already). You heard me right, it was adorable. The way it was crafted somehow has a touch of minimalism with oozing usefulness. The pockets were not rowdy and it was seemingly designed to match with its being compact in size. Both the Organizer case and Notebook are just in the right thickness and dimensions. I chose the green shade because it’s easy on the eyes.

  3. It’s Compact - One thing that caught my attention was the size (medium and can be easily grabbed and clutched) and yet it can fit my essentials in one place - probably you can use it as a coin purse too, where you can drop your loose change inside.
  4. It’s One-Of-A-Kind - As I’ve stated earlier, I haven’t done my research if SB just started releasing this Travel Organizer this year or they may have done it in the past? Nevertheless, get it because if this is their first time to market this souvenir - then it may possibly be considered as a  pioneer collection when age will come to pass after multiple versions and releases are made in the future.

5. It’s Giving You The Chance To Have The “Starbucks for A Year” -  Well, this may resound as an invalid reason. TBH, both the planner and organizer carry both a special SB Card which if the end-user registers - he has a chance of getting the Starbucks for A Year. Why did i add this as the top 5 reason? The physical card that came with the organizer is fabulous and projects a graver sense of intimacy compared to the planner. Unfortunately, i gave the card away to a friend and it was too late - i forgot to take a pic of it.

In conclusion, choose wisely before redeeming your gift. I highly recommend the planner in a magnified emphasis because i wanted you to get the most out of it and not just simply use it as an adoration or bragging right that you finished completing your sticker stamps for the claim. 😛

Thank you for reading and leave your thoughts in the comments why you think otherwise you should get the planner, or why you are also choosing the travel organizer!

5 Things We Can Learn From "Someday We'll Know"

What struck me while doing my Sunday night jog earlier was the echoing (almost stoking feeling) message of the song on my playlist - the rendition of Mandy Moore's and Jon Foreman's (lead from Switchfoot band) Someday We'll Know.

Let's step back a bit... the song's lyrics or poetry impact is absolutely for the heartbroken, a reflection of past relationship; but let's not dwell on that premise, instead dig deeper on the otherside of the song's unraveled substance.

It's interesting to note how your emotions would transcend into a feeling of fleeting enjoyment leaving you wondering or having the "Oh shoot! OO nga ano!" in the back of the head comments as you listen to song.

Let's check these 5 phrases and lines from the song on what we can ponder on to:

1. "..... Can't stop driving, I don't know why" - This, encapsulates the usual saying that "all you need is a long drive to destress" or put things in to perspective. It's something similar to how walking calms the nerves as to like drinking a hot tea.

2. "Whatever happened to Amelia Earheart?" - It's a "kicker" especially for those who belong in the age bracket of Gregg Alexander (the composer of the song) when Amelia Earheart disappeared while flying solo as the first American aviator across the Atlantic ocean. It was a big news on Earheart's disappearance given the unique situation since she's the first female solo pilot crossing the Atlantic.

3. "Who holds the stars up in the sky, is true love once in a lifetime?" - I won't say "I guess", instead it's simply not true - it's not once in a lifetime. Not only basing it from experience but according to psychology - true love comes around 4 or maximum of 5 instances in a lifetime with a span of 75 to 80 years. So while you get bitten by the love bug - enjoy it with proper

4. "Did the captain of Titanic cry?" - This is somehow mind-boggling, who would have thought that the composer could reflect on that raw emotion of the captain of the Titanic. It's best to argue that he might be referring to the emotions of the captain during the sinking of the epic ocean liner. In that case, the normal reaction of a human being when faced with adrenaline rushing situations is to act in flight or fight. The

5. "if love can move a mountain?" - This is a cliche, a common go to phrase that lovers would hope for to accomplish when stumped with an obstacle in their relationship; and can also be applied as a source of strength or inspiration for situations when love is all you need to survive in any battle being faced (may it be the heartaches or the physical pain) that a human being may endure.

Let's revisit or re-play the music video in here. Take note of the beats and how Mandy and Jon put justice to the poetry/composition of Gregg. It was awesome! Indeed.

Enjoy the video!

Thank you, blogger.. you are my go to dose of medicine whenever I'm feeling inspired or possibly the opposite.

TNT Boys: Flashlight - A Filipino Kid Trio Sensation

It’s July, and this TNT Boys video is hitting the internet by suppah hot fever.

The TNT (Tawag ng Tanghalan) Boys gets to form a trio after their mutliple stints in ABSCBN’s Tawag Ng Tanghalan show.

If you are to listen intently while watching the video, I would say that the one with the ponytail can reach the highest of notes and the most charming among the three.

What’s more impressive is their harmony and them cool kiddos showing facial expressions to the likes of well-known singers. Yeah, i know it’s part of their training and grooming, but seeing them perform in this high level of quality gives the inspiration - eclectic feeling of joy.

So who are these kids?

FRANCIS CONCEPCION
MACKIE EMPUERTO
KIEFER SANCHEZ

They got to have been noticed by Beegees thru one of the group’s tweet “Imitation truly is the sincerest form of flattery! Thank you #TNTBoys” because of how they rendered #Toomucheaven in Your Face Sounds Familiar program in the US.

Enjoy the vid and be stoked!

Traffic Lights

The music played.

(our eyes locked for almost a minute,
no conversations,
yet our emotions are soaring with eagerness
to hug or possibly crash in each other’s arms)

The music stopped.

(our conversation continued,
words that were spontaneous, just anything
that the mind speaks, mundane and personal;
opening-up and the excitement felt with those
experiences ... while you were away.
and now... you’re leaving again)

Rain and Empathy

remember the rain? it used to drown our throes of passion so the next room couldnt hear.

now, it’s drowning the pain and trying to wash away the scars you left.

Pitu - Old Chinese Photo App

(read on to know where to get this Chinese Old Photo Filter App)

You might be wondering by now the name of the app that took photo filters by storm recently in Ph.  Your FB friends are joining the bandwagon; the IG community is flocked with the eye-snatching old Chinese photograph filters.

What's amazing? your friends' normal faces were converted into Chinese pics suddenly became artistic, looked-like they traveled in time to get a photo shoot in China along with the majestic and cool uniforms of that culture.

I saw it initially from a friend in Instagram - she looked awesome!!! but i didn't get to know which app is it that she used. I just shrugged, but when i flipped to Facebook, saw some people changed their profile pics with this handsome & beautiful faces inspired by a Chinese look and an air of the nostalgic era of old photography.

The name of the app is - Pitu. The portrait below is The Writer version. I took a photo of mine real time with my shaved head and it adapted to the preset filters with hair, thankfully, it made me yearn to miss having the thick hair.

Here's the link for Android and here's for iOS/iPhone devices.
Both were rated almost 5 STARS in Google Play and AppStore. It's damn right cool, i tell you. Maybe it's because we were prepped to the filters of FB and Snapchat - but those were far-fetched wacky and fantasy filters. These Pitu filters were stylish, closer to reality and it gives you this sense of satisfaction of looking good for yourself in those old photographs.

Or maybe it was just me? Capturing the sense of entitlement looking at these default presets from the app, but i guess, it's coming in to pieces, that even you while reading this, would want to try?
Out curiousity -  how would you look in Chinese suits, getting your face lit-up with so much serene prowess that it appears as if you were marked in a Chinese special occasion back in the past.

To quote one of my friends in FB, it does trance you back in time, "nakakatuwa". And i agree with her. It's not the sheer delight of seeing yourself with dog ears or puppy tongue and other animal/fantasy filters out there, but this - the Pitu app would simply give you the simple contentment of seeing your portraits turned into something that is alive, something that is worth remembering, that somehow you can be transported into someone else's culture, even just through a photograph -

which paints a thousand words. More or less.

PS:
The maker of the app is Tencent Inc. - one of the largest internet companies in China.

we are seeing the same stars
we are staring at the same sky
we are enjoying the same gentleness of the wind.

but,
we’re not sharing the same feelings.
