To my beloved mother, another year has passed. Gone are the days and months, it's another chapter to unfold in your journey.

It makes me sad though that you're celebrating today, Monday, inside the hospital. 

You were strong in thoughts, and I can see it in your eyes, fighting further, even if you aren't speaking the pain you're having. It breaks my heart to note that you're undergoing all these, turmoils and sicknesses. I was dreaming that you should be enjoying your old age. Pure bliss and happiness, but, you were not spared.

Yet, I believe ur courage, your persistence, your endurance - this has long been a yoke. But you never complained, you accepted it all, you were brave in fighting.

I love you mother, happy birthday!

Left Handedness in Technology and Gadgets

Since i'm using more of my left hand in doing things, i noticed lately that i'm more comfy in doing the clicking and "right-clicking" of the touchpad using my right. When i switched it to my left, it kind of gave me this feeling of slowness, bringing a tick for me to use my right again.

Then, when i text single-handedly using the iphone, my right hand does it in a breeze, tried using my left and my thumb cannot reach those corners whenever i use it to tap, same is true when i get to slide using my palm, in conclusion, my right hand does better, way versatile when it comes to gadgets.

Now, why am i saying this? I'm currently investigating the relativity of left-handedness in the present technology age today. Does it follow the rule that when you're left-handed since birth, you get to carry it all the way through as you age?

It's like a pair of scissors, most often than not, the available scissors are for the right handed people, us, left-handed folks are but to settle on what's available, thus, we end up using our right-hand in cutting, until such time that we tend to practice it without difficulty and thus forgetting that the left-hand must do it.

How Save Battery in iOS7?

Battery juice plays a vital role in smartphones, it's the blood and oxygen of every gadget.

In my 6 days of using iOS 7, there's no denying that it's a battery vampire.

I've been checking blogs, news and comments on how to mitigate this, so far, these are the top two drivers in patching this issue.

1. Turn On the "Reduce Motion" option under Settings - General - Accessibility 

Somehow, this shiny parallax effect drains your batt easily.

2. Adjust your screen brightness. Don't set it to auto-adjust. Maintain the slider at the minimum (closest to the left).

Positive outlook, is a choice.

It was a learned lesson today, in our Sunday worship service.

It's given that when everything goes smoothly in our lives, happiness reigns. But, is that always the case?

Are you brave enough to accept the reality that it's not only the good things we receive in life that make the journey worth it, but also the trials that are thrown on us?

Besides, we should not only accept the positive things happening in our lives, but most of all, to embrace the thought of having stricken with grief and pain.

To achieve hope, there's a simple progressive formula. Sufferings make faith and hope perfect, how?

Suffering creates patience, patience creates perseverance. Perseverance creates character, character creates hope.

The constant endurance of suffering will make our faith complete. And who are we to say no to sufferings, let's put to contrast that blessings are not measured only in good tidings but of the equal opposite.

John convulsed profusely as he was transmitted from the ambulance where Avel insisted to get inside as the paramedic shoved him out. The paramedic finally gave up and let Avel in. Avel being  a no-talk-neighbor-relations with John's and Linda's tried to reach his iPhone. He started to send an iMessage to his friend, he wanted John's treatment and operation to be hidden and without fuss from the outside world, nor to John's  next of kin. He wanted John, all by himself with only the truth being captured by his physician friend in the hospital they are going now. Avel felt destroyed, almost in the verge of crying, now that he's inside the ambulance where the paramedic did not notice how he's reacting. His nervousness did not stop, "what if John will not live?", "What if he can't be saved?" 




Linda undressed, turned on the shower, with the lights turned off, her headache is slowly going away, and then a loud thug was heard inside

Week 13 Sunday Overdrive

It's a dreary, hot Sunday morning, i slept more than 8 hours. It feels good to wake up from the kiss of sunlight as the morning humidity of summer creeps in on a Sunday morning on my bed, the curtain swaying from the breeze coming from the window. Indeed! a moment to cherish, a feeling to store in the recesses of the memory bank, for me to keep and withdraw in times of solitary meditation.


The administration eagerly wants us to be saved! Not only that they prep us for the next life to come but the eagerly wanted us to be successful also in this world.

The key? We must do our part, in obedience - to holiness.
Devoted and dedicated, unwavering and steadfast.

Google Reader is Shutting Down

The beloved Google Reader is sunsetting this 31st of July 2013.

We have just announced on the Official Google Blog that we will soon retire Google Reader (the actual date is July 1, 2013). We know Reader has a devoted following who will be very sad to see it go. We’re sad too.
There are two simple reasons for this: usage of Google Reader has declined, and as a company we’re pouring all of our energy into fewer products. We think that kind of focus will make for a better user experience.

Now what? I'm looking for better alternatives on how to manage my RSS. Checked out Lifehacker's post, +Whitson Gordon is recommending:

I'm digging in to Feedly since i had the iPhone app but it's still tagged as new and hasn't been tried out. In the back of my head, i'm thinking of using the Outlook built-in RSS, might be tinkering some settings later on the Outlook2010.

Have i mentioned that i'm a huge fan of Digg? the iPhone app of course.
Sad to say, the app just had its recent update, and now it's showing ads.

Prolly, back in 2012's fourth quarter that i have started using this great app- a source of the freshest news around the world wide web.

Did i mention too that my iPhone 5 is currently in the service center? - Battery is draining easily fast. Good thing the rep named Lynn was a great help, she has absolutely satisfied me the way she handled my case and frustration. Have i mentioned too that the service provider is Globe Telecoms?

Here's a sonnet from Mr. S. that I've been trying to memorize by heart.

iPhone 5's headset

It's posh!
The headset was cradled in a minimalist apple transparent box to shoo away the entanglement moments of the cord.

I remember in flashback the bio of Steve, he mentioned that unboxing an Apple device must create "impute".

I myself has to open a Merriam-Webster to define that word. Impute is a transitive verb defined to put responsibility of righteousness and delight to a certain thing or emotion.

Now connect the dots. I was awed not only when I was unboxing this hottest masterpiece of Apple, I was actually having a jaw drop moment when I saw the slimness of the fone and the packaging of the headset.

Puppy Teaching a Mini Puppy Go Down the Stairs

Small things in life are truly the harbingers of smiles and realizations of contentment. This almost 2-minute clip of a pup help fellow pup made my heart grow fonder BIG time for my adoration with dogs.

I remember when i was a coach/sme back in 2008, that when a newbie comes in to the team, you get to give your most caring, best display of good attitude and impart to them the culture and process knowledge that it shan't be passed along just because you have to but because you want to accomplish a sense of fulfillment.

How to Mark All Emails as Read on Your iPhone?

Most of us enjoy the benefit of having multiple Inboxes (due to multiple email addresses), and whenever we get email notifications, we get to see number of emails unread badged on the upper right corner of the iPhone Mail App, this gives the OC feeling to everyone to open the app, only to find out that most of those emails were spam or FB/Twitter  notifications. Basic instinct, we tend to click edit>select those emails> and press the trash button, but what if the list goes on and we don't have time to delete everything at hand, yet, there's this dilemma that we don't want to see those 34 badges of unread mails.

Here's a surefire way to mark them all as read without undergoing the long process of tap select delete.

1. Open up the Mail app and tap the Edit button.
2. Select one message.
3. Press and hold the Mark button at the bottom of the screen.
4. While still pressing and holding the Mark button, tap the email you previously selected to unmark it.
5. Release the Mark button.
6. Tap the Mark as Read button.

And yeah!, everything is now marked as read. If you wanna do the reverse, all mails will be mark as Unread.

Wishing that there's a feature like this in Outlook.
