The 3rd of
January 2012, a quarter before four in the afternoon, as I looked upon the
bathroom window, i saw it was drizzling outside. It made me think twice of the
date, the place is somewhere south in the metro. I wonder if this is happening
only on this part of the city, nonetheless, it's raining.
And surely,
after I finished my bath, it's pouring heavily outside, trying to beat the
rhythm of the spinning electric fan, all I thought was it's the mere sound of
the fan, but I had to double check, and it was really raining, I glanced out
the road, some have their umbrella's opened, shielding against the pouring
rain.
I was talking
to a lady in her forties a while back during lunch time, she was confirming to
me if there's a storm, she might have noticed the gloomy weather, the sudden
breeze of chilling winds. It was all out of the extraordinary, yet from the
simple eyes of an experienced mind, she has been trying to reconcile, what's
happening with the world. Then she started talking about the tragedies, about
the Mt. Pinatubo, the Ormoc landslide, the incessant storms that have
devastated our country, and lately- the disaster that hit Iligan and the cities
in Mindanao.
I have yet to
witness the next, of which I couldn't fathom. It may sound skeptic and kind of
bringing in the negative vibes, it is not my intention. I'm just purely
fascinated by the facts.
Who knows,
while I'm typing this now, something's happening somewhere else, that could
bring a big shocker, to blow the minds of us, that in our simple and un-altered
ways of life, we are back to thoughts in reflecting to be Thankful that the
peace reigns no matter what, in our hearts.
