I Love You, Life

aren't we all just messed-up pieces?
like broken shards of colored glass?
each
piece
representing a different time when we lived,
we loved,
we were alive,
and then
we were left,
shattered,
only to find we had another purpose in being left behind.
for else who could take the light from the sun and tear it apart into a million colors,
but the glass mosaics that we had become.
and now when the light passes through,
selected,
but our torn hues.
the myriad colors of the unbeatable sun,
dancing,
with glee.
then,
for any who looked within us,
or beyond where the light hit the ground they would see,
glinting and shimmering,

Of Gratitude 2014

There are things in life that are spontaneous. Gratitude and thoughts of gratefulness come in those moments when you receive gifts or when something's shared to you, especially unexpected ones.

Thanks to Arvin for the toolbox:

I'm grateful to Miks who shared this book:

and to JV who took the time and effort in sharing his chocolate products (may your business further flourish):

Salt

__
Be a salt.
Be a light.
Don't forget to smile.

Simple, almost childlike in cadence—but packed with a wisdom that speaks across galaxies and generations.

Salt. So small. So ordinary. And yet, without it, even the richest stew tastes hollow.

"You are the salt of the earth," said Jesus in Matthew 5:13—a verse that, at a glance, sounds quaint. But in truth, it’s one of the greatest callings ever given to humankind.

To be salt… is to preserve what is good in a world slowly forgetting.

To heal, like salt on wounds—not always gentle, but always necessary.

To awaken dullness, to draw out flavor—in people, in conversations, in life itself.

Salt is humble. It dissolves to serve.

It disappears in the soup, but without it, the whole pot is pointless.

Salt does not seek praise. It seeks purpose.

Just like us, when we’re at our best.

__
And what of light?

“You are the light of the world,” He said next.

Not a spotlight. Not a flash.

But a steady glow that helps others find their way.

Light doesn’t shout. It shines.

Even a flicker can shatter darkness.

Even a candle can warm a cold room.

__
Be a salt.
Be a light.
And in between—don’t forget to smile.

For a smile is the bridge between salt and light.

A smile is the salt that seasons a heavy silence.

The light that softens a harsh moment.

It’s a small rebellion against bitterness, a gentle defiance of despair.

In this vast universe—spinning stars, roaring oceans, and celestial storms—salt and light seem laughably small.

But so are we.

And yet, the same hand that scattered galaxies asked us to be these very things.

So be the salt in someone’s bland day.

Be the light in someone’s long night.

And smile—because you carry the recipe of the universe inside you.

Paper and Ink

Ink overflowing on a pen, bleeding
Blue taints on white paper, spreading
Uncontrollably on its surface, soaking
Inevitably as if a rape, is happening
from the ink uniting in to the whiteness of the paper

My hand smudged
I rubbed it to erase the ink
All the more it expanded
Extending, further, blotching
My skin

Happy Birthday Mother 2013

To my beloved mother, another year has passed. Gone are the days and months, it's another chapter to unfold in your journey.

It makes me sad though that you're celebrating today, Monday, inside the hospital.

You were strong in thoughts, and I can see it in your eyes, fighting further, even if you aren't speaking the pain you're having. It breaks my heart to note that you're undergoing all these, turmoils and sicknesses. I was dreaming that you should be enjoying your old age. Pure bliss and happiness, but, you were not spared.

Yet, I believe ur courage, your persistence, your endurance - this has long been a yoke. But you never complained, you accepted it all, you were brave in fighting.

I love you mother, happy birthday!
Keep fighting, keep living!

"For every dream in our heart,
GOD gives us inspiration
For every hope we seek,
GOD gives us unexpected miracles
For every faith we believe,
GOD blesses us more"

Positive Outlook

Positive outlook, is a choice.

It was a learned lesson today, in our Sunday worship service.

It's given that when everything goes smoothly in our lives, happiness reigns. But, is that always the case?

Are you brave enough to accept the reality that it's not only the good things we receive in life that make the journey worth it, but also the trials that are thrown on us?

Besides, we should not only accept the positive things happening in our lives, but most of all, to embrace the thought of having stricken with grief and pain.

To achieve hope, there's a simple progressive formula. Sufferings make faith and hope perfect, how?

Suffering creates patience, patience creates perseverance. Perseverance creates character, character creates hope.

The constant endurance of suffering will make our faith complete. And who are we to say no to sufferings, let's put to contrast that blessings are not measured only in good tidings but of the equal opposite.

Problem Solver

How savvy are you when it comes to problem solving?

May it be the simplest of the things happening around you, or those related to your job, or even relationships - family & intimate persons in your life.

There would be always a common ground, the more problems you solve, the more easier your life would be. The journey will always be an adventure, not a boring one.

Gratitude

Dearest Dimples,

thank you i guess
isn't enough
when all is done
it can never end

to walk you in light
is my task
and shall never end
though you have light

it's to a never where
until the stream runs dry
and the water will break
the stone, to give way a path

thank you, i guess

Empathy...

In the welter of my own concerns, I too often forgot that other people had burdens just as heavy...

When

When is the time for me to gather the crumpled beddings of the past...
When the battle is lost and over?

When shall I recompense to undo the guilt and shame of thoughts aloud in wander…
When the water ran dry and thirst is no more a cry?

When shall I get tired to succumb in to the mystery of endless yearning...
When the wick of a candlelight is gone?

When shall I stop stumbling down the widened path of utmost distractions...
When the lips of the angels are sealed and their praises are just silence of hope?

When will my tears stop running down my cheeks as the anguish carved and deep…
When the wind can no longer blow and can't dry the mist?

When shall the music return to its endless care of the wondrous hope?
When time stood still and all seem to freeze?

Allow me to say …

"it's not forever until it has changed"

Apple Advisors

I was researching on the topic of working remotely and came across this culture from Apple... Who maintains an intense work commitment amongst its employees and the delivery of customer service.

“Apple has no qualms with saying if you are not the best, you can always work somewhere else. They make that abundantly clear.”

How To React if You Are Being Fooled?

Walking away from it is the wisest thing to do. Fight him and win her back, and what do you have? A woman no better than a bitch in season that goes with the strongest dog.
Confront her and have her disdain you, and you will only have added to your humiliation. Think of it this way, if it comforts you at all. She will always wonder at how easily you seemed to let her go.

To Err

I look back and sometimes it seems that that the times when I was almost certain I was doing the right thing was when I made my gravest errors

Of Perseverance

I died long ago in a barren soil
Claimed by the wickedness of turmoil
Unfurled like a sail to drive by the wind
Farther... Farther into nothingness
Drifted, apart from vex of other forms
Alone, wallowing in a tender caress of the passing time

Hope again, simmered like pot of broth
Estrangely biting the skin
Wincing of too much heat
Leaving the drenched soul into lowlessnes

Persevere
And is the twin of waiting
As the other is not around when one is far
Freely roam and never to go back
